Neighbourhood Watch
An active Neighbourhood Watch Scheme operates in Oswaldkirk. The Scheme operates via the use of several volunteers who look to a few houses each, for example looking after houses if people are away, keeping an eye on any suspicious activity etc. The Scheme also disseminates information on key issues - e.g. cold callers criminal activity in the area etc - via the use of the Village Noticeboard or notes circulated to householders or the Stop Press column here. Occasionally meetings are held where the local police, and in particular the Community Police Officer, attend and address key issues and concerns of the community.
